Ghost in the Shell "Three Laws of Robtics"

Exploring the "Three Laws of Robotics" within Ghost in the Shell was a lot more complicated than expected. The aspects of being half human and half robotic rally blur the lines of where one falls within the laws. I believe  Kusanagi really showed that being a cyborg does not take away from your human side. I really enjoyed writing the essay in a cartesian manner. It really allowed me to thoroughly explore both sides of the argument. I don't think one could have reached a true conclusion unless you did it in a cartesian manner. Ghost in the Shell really allowed one to see where the future of robotics can go and what questions will arise with it. I believe when we do get to time like that it will once again show a split in the social classes. This will create questions towards the "Three Laws of Robotics" and towards the fairness of cyborgs. I think Ghost in the Shell just graces the pot of questions toward cyborgs and other artificial intelligence.

Pinocchio vs. A.I. Artificial Intelligence

The movie A.I. Artificial Intelligence references Pinocchio multiple times. There are many symbols and comparisons in the book to Pinocchio . The movie has parts of the book read out loud and figures of the story present. Both A.I. Artificial Intelligence and Pinoccio are about artificial boys whose only goals are to become real boys. Both David and Pinocchio learn similar lessons and go on a similar adventure in order to learn what it truly means to be a real boy.  Pinocchio and David are both naive in the beginning of their life. They are very curious about the world and what it is like to be finally living. In A.I. Artificial Intelligence , David follows Monica around the first day he is there so he can see all she does. This scared Monica because she is not used to him but David does not understand he is doing anything wrong. To him he is having fun and keeping her company as she works. No one has taught him the weirdness of following someone around. On Pinocchio’s first day he

Star Trek Technology Today

It was really interesting to explore Star Trek in today's society. I always knew Star Trek had a huge fan base and that it has affected many generations. I don't realise the technology within the Star Trek was so influential though. There was definitely a lot of ideas people have gather from the show that they are trying to make real. It's really cool to think about the creator of all these Star Trek ideas. It must be cool for them to see all their ideas come to life and to be able to influence people in such a huge way. It's also cool how Star Trek has influenced so many fields. In our class their are so many different majors and all of us could find something related to our major. The Star Trek ship they have created to explore the Atlantic is really exciting. I'm excited to see all the information it can bring us and to see what other Star Trek technology can come to life in the future. pitch.com/public/24638c10-c19e-4809-bc05-b99b693c8977

The Matrix Debate

Choosing between the red and blue pill is a choice  that will change your life forever. Deciding to pick one over the other is greatly impacted by who you are as a person and how you can change the world. As someone who is not a strong willed person I do not believe taking the red pill would be the right choice for me. In order for someone to take the red pill they need to be confident in who they are and strong enough to do what is necessary in order to defeat the robots. The red pill allows the person who takes it to have free will but it also puts them right into the middle of the fight. Morpheus very strategically picks who he offers the red pill to and he chooses those with strong minds who can handle going back into the matrix knowing what it truly is. There are many people who would not be strong enough to do this. Many people's minds would collapse going back into the matrix knowing it was all fake. The blue pill allows those who are not ready and not strong enough to

Blade Runner Quote

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die." To many this quote symbolizes how when we die everything we know and everything we are drifts away into nothing. All the memories we hold dear and true wash away with the rain and are forgotten. For me, I do not believe this is true. I believe others hold our memories with them and we continue to live through those still alive. I lost my brother not long ago and one of the importants things he taught me was to make memories. By making memories with other people you are truly living and will not be forgotten. By making memories you are experiencing the world and doing things worth remembering. By making memories with others you will forever live with them even long after you have passed. My brother continues to live with me through the
